SEO is something that a lot of businesses are either doing at the moment or are contemplating doing. It only works over a long period of time; people who use it to try and obtain customers or increase their customer base from the get go will find that there is quite a high cost per customer acquisition. The time you spend writing articles, building backlinks or leaving comments could be better spent marketing your business.
Let’s clear up one of the misconceptions about SEO upfront: it shouldn’t be the main focus of your marketing efforts. SEO is used for one thing and one thing only and that’s getting more interested visitors to your website. If you don’t have a clear offer on your website, then you’re doing your marketing backwards. Make sure that your USP is present and that you’re putting all your marketing efforts into the message your website puts across before even considering doing SEO.
If you want to build backlinks fast, a personal recommendation is SEO Link Vine. I personally use this for my website and am currently conducting a case study on it right now, seeing how fast it can build backlinks when I write for an hour a day on weekdays. During that hour, I write a fresh article, rewrite it so that when I spin it, it’s unique every single time. When it gets published, I get backlinks. 3 actually. The article can get published about 30 times on average, meaning I get 90 backlinks per article.
SEO shouldn’t be your upfront source of income. It’s far too costly to lose and Google tends to have random hissy fits that can render your site invisible for up to months. They also do routine checks and update their indexes, so if you’re website doesn’t seem quite right, you could suddenly lose your income overnight. I make sure that my site is clean. I also publish a variety of content, both videos and written text. There’s reasons for people to come back to my site.
I forgot to mention one negative point about SEO Link Vine: it has a monthly membership fee. Unless you’re willing to shell out $67 a month, you might consider looking into a different SEO option, such as software submission with the 30 Minute Backlinks method.
Still, there is nothing wrong with using SEO Link Vine to rank for keywords, especially if you’re looking for a cost effective solution as a business. Some “premium SEO firms” charge as much as $1.5K to make sure your business goes on the first page for a collection of keywords, but they will eventually drop off over time.
